The DESIRIAL® products are the first range of non-animal, entirely biodegrable injectable hydrogels that are 100% dedicated to the intimate health of women1. They are designed and produced in France by Laboratoires VIVACY, specialised in aesthetic medicine and anti-ageing. DESIRIAL® and DESIRIAL® PLUS are made with stabilised hyaluronic acid produced with Laboratoires VIVACY’s exclusive, patented IPN-Like Technology, and the antioxidant, Mannitol.

Hyaluronic Acid: Hydrating Action

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally-occuring molecule found in the body, particularly in the skin and mucous membranes, and can retain up to 1000 times its weight in water2. It plays an extremely important role in hydrating the zone, but also in improving the tonicity of the tissues3.

Due to its short life span and soluble charateristic when in water, the hyaluronic acid must undergo a process of crosslinking (reticulation) in order to stabilise the product. This process involves binding several molecules together using VIVACY’s patented IPN-Like technology and the result is a cohesive gel that lasts several months in the tissues, while still maintaining its hydrating capacities.

Patented IPN-Like Technology

Laboratoires VIVACY developed “IPN-Like Technology” (InterPenetrated Networks), a unique and patented4 cross-linking technology for hyaluronic acid, which precisely defines the viscoelastic properties of each of VIVACY’s injectable products. Consequently, the interpenetration of cross-linked hyaluronic acid networks:

  • Optimises the rheology of the products, and in particular, the viscosity to guarantee smooth injectability of the product
  • Guarantees the cohesion of the hyaluronic acid gel and its monophasic properties.

Mannitol Antioxidant: Protective Action

Found in DESIRIAL® Intimate Care products, Mannitol is an antioxidant molecule that limits the degradation of the gel immediately after injection in the body. The Mannitol captures destructive Free Radicals, which are generated by the injection of the needle and/or cannula. It helps protect the hyaluronic acid molecules during the first few hours following the injection5.
